Mercury and Mars in Retrograde

Everyone has a warning for Mercury retrograde. When it arrives in the dead of summer it get’s even scarier right? Please universe, I hope mercury doesn’t break down my air conditioner! And to make it even more interesting we have Mars going in the shadow of the earth too.

The multiple planets “retro” effect is intense. It feels like the lady behind you in line at the grocery store is a few inches from pushing you forward, you feel the push before it ever happens. With Mars in the equation, it intensifies our clarity of knowing exactly what needs to get done, with the revealing of the full moon it becomes even more clear.

Mars is the red planet of heat and action, mingling with the intensity of the trickster Mercury. Both in the shadow of our home planet, Earth. Be prepared for someone to try to aggravate you or push your boundary. What does preparation look like?

Directions:

Stop and smell the flowers.

Create a routine of deeper listening.

Give attention to details and move slow.

Create boundaries for yourself to take action in a way that you know is a good step for you.

Don’t let anyone come between you and your practice of self-realization and centering.

Practice compassion as we are all dealing with the pulse of our solar system, or, the vibes of our neighbors.

Infinite Blessings,

Morning meditations

Start the day with some feelings or words to charge your self with the magnetic power of the universe. Words that enhance your goals and inspiration for growth.

Primordial energy runs through all things.

It is the first spark to create a universe.

It is your inner light that is eternal always.

It exists in every flower

every stone

every mountain

every drop of water,

every star in the sky

and every dark corner.

It is what mystics passionately love,

what poets endlessly attempt to describe.

There are many metaphors but still, no words can capture the true essence of Core consciousness and primordial energy.

Breathing meditation will connect you to that essence and dial you in.

So if the words don’t inspire you into that deep essence,

simply

breathe

into

it.

New Moon Prayer Poem

New Moon Prayer Poem

Let me clarify my intentions

as I let go of the previous cycle

the wisdom of the ages is within

and the tone of my voice is heard

as I intend for my highest truth to be revealed

my deepest body consciousness to be honored

my physical body and light body are aligned

as the sun, moon and earth

empower my knowing

New Moon: A chance to begin again

New Moon: A chance to begin again

May the wisest part of you,

Dance freely with the youngest part of you

as you set the intentions

for the revelation of Spring and the Full Moon

-opb (March 2017)

For many of you embarking into the depth of your personal growth and spiritual journey, the pull to explore your creative power is evident.

I can remember the first astrology calendar I bought myself in my late teens. I knew very little about the symbols and shapes before me, yet somehow I knew, in my heart of hearts, that even if it took years to learn, I would become empowered.

I felt connected to my elder self, who had the experience of using the calendar and began my studies of our cyclical astrological system of planets.

One of the most repeated cycles is that of our moon. From new to first quarter, we have the opportunity to start fresh with the freedom of choice to focus our intentions. The energy lends itself to starting fresh and feeling new, even with tired old repetitive subjects.

The first quarter leading up to the full moon gives us the momentum and practicality to set into action the necessary steps.

New moon intentions will be revealed during the full moon. Like the seeds planted deep beneath the snow of winter to come to bloom in spring, the intentions we sew before the clean slate of a new moon will be made and nourished as the moon progresses. Bringing further to light, we see any limiting factors come into perspective.

What do we do with them?

The opportunity to pivot between positive grace and negative regression is like choosing the healthy or greasy option. How will you nourish yourself even when limiting patterns of dis-belief awaken inside?

When the challenges we face to meet our goals are met with the vision of the intention revealed, there is a release in our tension. Our creative waves flux and we are able to meet our challenges with a new perspective.

The full moon to last quarter reminds me of a huge spotlight on the stage of the world. What was consciously or sub-consciously intended, now is made visible, made reality and we see revealed every flaw, fantasy and most importantly, how it relates to our lives.

Oh yes, and everyone else can see it too. Of course, they have feedback. Even when they are not conscious of their awareness to your intentions, the universe is and they may speak the words to reveal more by the light of the moon.

Are you ready to listen?

The Waning moon or the last quarter to the new moon is a time of reflection. The emotions can reveal what needs to change and what needs to rise. They give you a vision for the next new moon and the chance to begin again.

I often stay at home during the dark moon, the last few days before the new moon. If I find myself out during this time it vital to y energy that my time is spent fruitfully nourishing my self-care and energy.

Earth groove

The drum doesn’t care what your wearing,

the beat will always make you move,

the veils of the mirror are many,

and the cosmos are naked in their groove.

Be not a slave to splendor,

While dancing to hold the earth in balance

she will always approve.

Why I needed a steady income to do the things I really love

I am one of those people who began working at a young age. At 15, I got a job building sandwiches and by the time I hit 17 I was working in the cosmetic department of Macy’s, this make-up loving teen’s dream come true.

At that point, in my late teens, I woke up and realized that the more I get paid by the hour, the fewer hours I would have to work in order to pay my bills.

I was only interested in money for the purpose of putting a roof over my head because, at that time in my young adult life, all I wanted to do was run through the mountains and meditate.

Because I worked five blocks from the beach I had many daydreams about water. The most prominent one at that time was about visiting the aquarium or about spending all my free time in the philosophy section of the bookstore 2 blocks away from the office. I wanted to find a hot guy and lay on the beach with him all day….pretty normal daydreams, right?

My desires at that time did not require money, but food, a home, and transportation certainly do. In the back of my mind, I was committed not to be that daughter who had to move back home after college.

Breaking my back running here and there with freelance jobs. The price of gas started to skyrocket and ‘getting by” was now a struggle. I realized there is a better way and I committed to discovering it.

Money can actually work for you

Then one day I woke up and realized that my money can actually work for me.

This idea transformed my mental programming around money. I began to focus on small stories of this type of success and began to network with people who were already pursuing these goals, I guess I was looking for a money mentor.

I answered an ad for work as an independent contractor at a forex trading office where I learned to flex my intuitive skills with economics predictions. I learned how putting your money towards value of a currency or commodity, grows with that transaction, or diminishes.

My “aha” moment was when I understood that where I put my time was my investment in my future. That being said, I now knew that I had to work in a profession that I was passionate about, a profession that worked for me and my money.

I began researching all of the options for earning residual income and found some key elements necessary for making my decision about what I would pursue.

3 decisions that changed everything

The first decision I made was not to give up. If people were going to tell me “not a chance” I was going to push even harder to find that “chance”.

The second decision I made was to buy the house I was renting. These ideas got mocked because I was 21 with little income, however, I knew I could invoke a rare option and I asked for it. A loan assumption.

The third decision I made was to settle down with one brand that my income will grow with, that allows me to shop in my own store and provide a toxic-chemical free lifestyle for myself and my children.

These 3 decisions were an investment in my self and the generations that follow. They made sense financially. In both cases, the value of my return on investment has increased fivefold or more.

Consequently, by my mid to late twenties, my days consisted working professionally with art, music, dancing, healing, traveling. I enjoyed hikes and studying. I was no longer working to pay the bills, I was enjoying life while I paid the bills.

Now that I’m a decade older I see how my desires have changed. I have 2 children and I’m looking at providing for their future, not just paying the bills. My hobbies have expanded and there are many more places in the world I would like to see. Passionately, I continue to warm with fulfillment when I help people and even more when I see them thrive and achieve their goals.

My philanthropic aspirations continue to grow as I discover new ideas to create a better sustainable world. Like Indigenous Wellness Collective, that brings healers and bodyworkers together to fill a cultural gap in clinical energetic and boundaries.

So now, money has a new purpose and I have a new mindset. That is to work smarter, not harder. To be flexible with the times and shine as an influencer and beneficial presence on the planet.

Emotional Hygiene Techniques

Earlier this evening my daughter who is a month away from turning 13, casually relaxes next to me in my room and says, “I want to hear your life story”.

I stumbled over my emotions in that moment, stirring through for some courage.

Stumped for what to say I questioned her with “why would you say that to me? you know I am under enough pressure! What made you say that?”

Does Success have to equal Stress?

A client of mine, an amazing speaker and radio show host, comes to me for respiratory issues. One of the treatments I offer is very effective and deeply relaxing and admitted her lungs felt much better yet she enjoyed the relaxation. As an activist she is managing all different types of stress at work that she was afraid the stress would activate the respitory issue. At that time, the treatment was the only thing that helped her relax.

Centering our Lives With Self Care

Centering Our Lives –

Self care is so much more than going to the spa. We tell ourselves how much we deserve a spa day, how hard we’ve worked and it’s finally our turn for some pampering. I would agree, we all can use some pampering and various degrees of humidity, or humility, witch the spa tends to provide.

Self Care is a deliberate activity to take care of self or an aspect of self.
